This is my youngest daughter enjoying life to the full in Barcelona, Yoga to Salsa dancing to numerous Meet up groups. You name it she is having a go! If you knew her 2 years ago you would swear this is not the same girl. She has re programmed her mind and has begun to fall in love with herself again. As you can see she has the discipline to apply herself to anything she sets her mind to. She has travelled the world alone, fearlessly and along the way has had many angels caring for her. She is and has been an inspiration to many including myself. She has sparked something deep within me to live like I only have today, this moment and to be thankful for all I have, instead of worrying about the future and the silly little things that in retrospect have turn out fine anyway! How quickly old patterns of thinking can re surface if we do not keep a tight rein on them and regularly check in on our thoughts and then modify them if we need to. I find ‘Gratitude’ one of the best ways to shift my thinking and to bring me back to the moment. How glorious life is when we can learn from one another young and old to make a collective difference.
Do you know what our greatest Fear is?
- Flying - Public Speaking - Fear of Heights - Fear of the Dark - Fear of Intimacy - Fear of Death - Fear of Failure - Fear of Rejection -
Fear of Spiders - Fear of Commitment
Do you have any of these Fears? Does it restrict your life?
I think many of us actually have a Fear of Living! A fear of our own greatness!
As Marianne Williamson wrote so adequately:
‘Our deepest fear is not that we are inadequate.
Our deepest fear is that we are powerful beyond measure.
It is our light, not our darkness that most frightens us.
We ask ourselves “Who am I to be brilliant, gorgeous, talented, fabulous?”
Actually, who are you not to be?
You are a child of God.
Your playing small doesn’t serve the world.
There is nothing enlightened about shrinking so that other people won’t feel insecure around you.
We are all meant to shine, as children do.
We are born to make manifest the glory of God that is within us.
It’s not just in some of us, it’s in everyone.
And as we let our own light shine
We unconsciously give other people permission to do the same.
As we’re liberated from our own fear, our presence automatically liberates others.
Let’s all take a leaf out of Emily’s book and get out of our comfort zones and start living!
